An interesting piece of historical memorabilia - this is a boxed commemorative fine bone china tankard from 1993 celebrating 150 years of one of the UK's oldest charities. It is now known as Shaftesbury Young People and helps support adolescents leaving care. Originally the charity was formed back in the 1843 to help with the refuge and schooling of young people in need, later also providing them with nautical training.
This lovely tankard has a picture of the Lord Shaftesbury on one side and the Founder William Williams on the other side and is housed in its original tissue paper and box.
A nice collector's item.
This listing is for the boxed tankard only. All other items in the photographs are for display or size comparison purposes only and are not included.
Please look at all of the photographs and the video as these form part of the description and help to show scale, colour and condition.
