A fabulous Hornsea Pottery teapot in their lovely 'Contrast' pattern. The range is designed as oven to table ware, and freezer, dishwasher and microwave safe. It features a matt/satin body in a rich brown, with contrasting rings of white and blackish brown high gloss glaze. The design was produced between approximately 1974 and 1992. The back stamp on the bottom of the pot suggests this is one of the later production runs from the late 80's early 90's. The teapot is being sold as used but is in excellent condition with minimal signs of use.

The teapot measures approximately 21cm long across the spout and handle, 13.5cm wide and stands approximately 13cm tall. It holds approximately 1100ml. The lid has a small air hole in the edge of the lid to aid the smoothness of pouring. There is a lug in the lid to prevent the lid from easily falling off during use. The spout is short and exits high up the pot. There are no strainer holes between the body of the pot and the spout.

I test all my tea and coffee pots for pour quality and this one is immaculate with no drips at all.

This listing is for the lidded teapot only. All other items in the photographs are for display or size comparison purposes only and are not included.
