Beautiful and delicate Royal Albert English china small dish in the design 'Cambridge'. This lovely dish has one of the older style back stamps that were in use between 1917 and 1935, suggesting it is around 90 to 110 years old. The dish is very light weight and delicately hand painted and gilded on the edges. It has a lovely effect that looks like an oyster shell texture on the outer edges and this becomes smooth ridges on the inside.

It would originally have been used as a pin dish or maybe a trinket tray or bonbon dish and could still be used as any of these things today.
It is in very good condition. There is some slight wear on the gilded edges, although I think this was always meant to be a more graduated effect rather than a hard line, so this may be intentional. There is also a small blip in the clay beneath the glaze on the underside from the time of manufacture. Please note that the earrings are not included and are just for scale purposes.

This pretty dish measures 10.3cm long and wide and stands approximately 2.2cm tall.

Please look at all of the photographs and the video as these form part of the description and help to show scale, colour and condition.
