A beautiful vintage Waterside lidded sugar bowl in white china featuring a gold and burgundy decor

This listing is for a vintage Waterside china sugar bowl.

This lovely sugar bowl will hold approximately 450ml and is believed to date from the late 20th Century to early 2000's.

The sugar bowl has an elegant design with a simple and clean looking squat shaped design. The handles and lid feature hand painted gold coloured gilding and the neck is decorated with a printed burgundy and gold coloured filigree and floral design. The body has a nice shapely design with a squat, wide fat body which sits on an elegant pedestal base. This narrows at the neck and then flairs slightly back out at the rim.

The lid has an elegant domed shape with a moulded finial.

The sugar bowl is in very good vintage condition with no damage, although there are some small areas of wear on the gold filigree design where the transfer has worn slightly around the edges.


It has a nice pair of shapely handles, perfect for resting a set of tongs or a spoon on. It measures approximately 11cm tall, 13.5cm long including the handles and 11.5cm wide.
