A lovely and utterly charming 1970's hand painted ceramic celery serving pot from Toni Raymond at their Babbacombe studio pottery. This piece is very iconic and representative of the 70's dinner party era. This lovely item has sustained some damage over the years and looks like it has been used at some time as a utensil storage pot.
It would have originally been designed to hold celery for serving at the table but is also a lovely and charming kitchen ornament and useful sized pot. It measures approximately 14.5cm tall, 8.4cm wide and 8.4cm long.
Overall it is in good condition but there are some damage areas to point out. There is light crazing in the top glaze throughout and it has suffered two chips on the back top rim which have discoloured. These chips are barely noticeable from the front but can be seen clearly from the back. It looks like it has been used to store cooking utensils at some time and there are a number of small glaze chips in the inside base, likely caused by repetitive dropping of metal spoons or similar inside.
Please look at all of the photographs and the video as these form part of the description and help to show scale, condition and colour.
The item will be very well wrapped and will usually be dispatched the next working day for delivery 2-3 days later.
