Vintage, bone china, large souvenir plate of the Island of Jersey by Edwardian Fine China, Staffordshire, England from De Gruchy's

A lovely vintage, but new looking, dinner plate size souvenir of the Island of Jersey in the Channel Islands. This pretty plate is rimmed with golden coloured gilding around the inner and outer edges of the rim. It depicts the Island at the time of manufacture, showing the main routes and place names. Around the rim of the plate the regional coats of arms/town flags are displayed. The back of the plate shows the maker. It was made exclusively for the DeGruchy department store, King Street, St Helier, Jersey, and is contained it the original manufacturer's box. The plate measures approximately 27cm in diameter.

The plate is in excellent condition and has clearly not spent much time outside the box. The box has been ripped open at the top but is in reasonable condition for vintage packaging.
