A lovely pair of highly collectable miniature crested ware items by W.H. Goss, also known as falcon ware, believed to date to the early 20th Century. One item is in the form of a drawstring purse style vase depicting the coat of arms for the City of Edinburgh. The rim is gilded with gold and a hand painted green ribbon has been applied to the draw string of the neck along with gilded tassels. The pot is in excellent condition other than a tiny chip on the rim on the back of the pot. The pot is stamped with the makers mark on the base and hand painted D.
The second pot is in the form of a neat little lidded pot and depicts Sandgate. Again the rim of the lid is gilded. The pot is stamped on the base and again inside the lid by the maker and has a small hand painted mark in the lid. It is in excellent condition.
This listing is for the two crested ware items as described only. All other items in the photographs are for display or size comparison purposes only and are not included.
