A striking and unusually shaped piece of art glass by Ravenhead, England from their Flair range designed by Alexander Hardie Williamson. This lovely item makes me think of ice and snow and would be lovely used as a centrepiece with a pillar candle and low floral arrangement, but I have also seen it described as Cactus Glass, so I think it is quite versatile and could be adapted to many decorative schemes. It is very pretty yet different. I think it was designed as a quirky vase but it would also work with a hyacinth bulb sat in the top and the base filled with water.
The glass is thick and the decorative top is frosted and asymmetrical. It weighs approximately 778g empty.
It stands approximately 16cm high and 17.2cm diameter across the widest part.
It is a lovely decorative and collectable piece that would look great displayed empty on a shelf and would make a lovely vintage gift.
Overall it is in excellent vintage condition and appears unused.
