$40.62

  • Details
An elegant early 20th Century Japonica style porcelain cruet set by Chodau, Slavkov believed to date from the late 1930's to early 1940's. These lovely pieces are beautifully decorated and gilded. They would make a lovely addition to a table setting, but are very decorative in their own right. A perfect and unusual vintage gift.

All are stamped on the reverse with the maker's mark. Inside the lid of the mustard pot there are some hand painted numbers. The set comprises a tray, salt and pepper pot and a lidded mustard pot. The salt and pepper pot are stoppered with a small piece of cork.

The tray measures approximately 19.2cm long, 8cm wide and 2cm tall.

The mustard pot measures approximately 7cm tall including the lid, 4.5cm wide and 4.2cm deep.

The salt and pepper pots measure approximately 6.3cm tall, 4.5cm wide and 4.2cm deep each. The pepper pot has multiple small shaker distribution holes and the salt pot has a single hole.

Overall the set is in excellent, clean, vintage condition with no chips or damage and with all of the decorative gilding and design work intact. The only areas to point out are a couple of minor areas of superficial glaze cracking, as can be seen in the final photograph.

This listing is for the cruet set only. All other items in the photographs are for display or size comparison purposes only and are not included.

Please look at all of the photographs and the video as these form part of the description and help to show scale, colour and condition.
