Delicate and dainty vintage handmade fine bone china salt pot by Aynsley, England

A very pretty vintage Aynsley fine bone china salt shaker in the form of a beautiful, hand made and painted yellow rose with green leaves, sat on top of a smooth and elegant white bone china base.

The salt is dispensed from the centre of the curled petals of the rose head and the pot is refilled through a removable black plastic stopper in the bottom of the base.

This lovely little salt shaker is very delicate and dainty and would look lovely just as a small ornament, even if not being used for salt. It is in perfect condition and has no damage. The edges of the petals and leaves are very thin and curled and do feel a little sharp in places, but this is not damage or chips, just the original fineness of the way that the petals have been formed.

It would make a lovely little gift and would look lovely on a single service dinner tray or breakfast tray with a boiled egg.

The shaker measures approximately 4.9cm tall to the highest petal and approximately 4.2cm wide across the base. Although in excellent condition, the item is being sold as used and does not have the original box. It will be well packaged for transport.
