Signed, vintage, 1960's Nils Kähler for Herman Kähler Keramik, Denmark, small blue fish scale glazed vase - stylish, collectable, gift

A signed, elegant and stylish, vintage ceramic vase created by Nils Kähler, Denmark. This lovely item is believed to date to the 1960's and features an unglazed clay base and geometric fish scale patterned blue glazed top. The pattern has been embossed in the clay and is subtle but intricate with diamond shapes, circles and zigzags all interlocking. The soft patterning is highlighted by the use of the marine blue/green/turquoise glaze which sits in the deeper embossed shapes creating a myriad of different colour shades. It is quite evocative of the sea. It has a smooth but slightly rippled feel to it. Highly collectable, very stylish. Perfect to use as a decorative item, but also functional as a small vase or pen holder.

It would also make a lovely and unusual vintage, collectable gift.

It measures approximately 4.6cm diameter across the widest part and is 10.6cm high.

It is in lovely vintage condition with no damage. It does however show some age related glaze crazing.
