Toby jug, small, vintage, hand painted, cream, milk, sauces - decorative, quirky and unusual

$19.61

  • Details
A charming and unusual little Toby style jug, perfect as a decorative item, but also useful for serving small quantities of cream, milk etc.. The jug holds approximately 110ml.

It is made of a light weight white china and glazed in a high gloss finish. The china has been left white inside and the moulded shape of the 'Toby' has been hand painted. The handle is interesting and is in the shape of a leaping gazelle, ram or goat. The maker is unknown and exact date is unknown, although the style is suggestive of it being from the early 20th Century. Overall it is in very good vintage/antique condition although there are a few little glaze chips to mention. There are a few little tiny glaze chips on the dark rim of the jug and a larger glaze chip on the handle on the back leg of the leaping animal.

It measures approximately 7.7cm tall and 8.5cm across at the widest point.

This listing is for the Toby style jug only. Any other items in the photographs or video are not part of the listing.
