Stunning large, hand painted, vintage china Siamese cat figurine - believed to be Trentham Art Pottery

A lovely, large, hand painted, vintage Siamese cat figurine. This stunning cat figurine is believed to date to the late mid 20th Century around 1970 and have been made by Trentham Art Pottery in Devon. However, he does not carry a maker's mark, just a hand scored letter 'J' and the faint embossed design number 403.

It would make a lovely and unusual vintage gift for a cat lover and is large enough to make a statement but not take up too much room. His eyes are painted a beautiful blue and have a glint of mischief to them. He's super glossy glazed and his coat catches the light. His eyes have been matte painted and are a nice contrast as he watches ready to pounce.

The cat measures approximately 21cm long, 12.5cm across the widest part and is 7.5cm high.

He is in lovely vintage condition and beautifully shaded. One area to point out is that he has a tiny manufacturing blip on his cheek where the wet clay has been lightly scuffed prior to firing. This is not noticeable unless he is picked up and examined closely, but I've tried to capture it in the last photograph.
