Pretty vintage Delft style hand painted bowl

A very pretty and simple fully hand painted Delft style bowl. This lovely bowl does not carry a maker's mark and so the maker and age is unknown. It is thought to be from the 1970's but this is not known for sure.

The design features typical Dutch scenes of windmills, boats and birds and has been delightfully hand painted in the traditional blue colour over a white, slightly creamy glaze. On the exterior the bowl has a wide blue band at the base and a double band of blue colour rear the rim. The interior of the bowl is undecorated and just glazed.

The bowl is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks, there is however, age related crazing to the glaze throughout, as shown in the photographs.

It would make a lovely small planter and is a nice useful size for use in the kitchen or as a catchall on a shelf for keys etc.. It measures approximately 14cm in diameter and is 7.8cm tall.
