Vintage 1970's - 1980's stoneware pie dish Pearson's of Chesterfield made in England

This lovely vintage pie dish by Pearson's of Chesterfield has never been used for cooking and is in excellent, as new condition. The glaze is generally immaculate apart from a couple of minor scuffs, the unglazed foot of the plate is a little rough from manufacture and is not a flaw.

The company ceased production in the early 1990's and this backstamp was in use during the 1970's and 80's. It features a country cottage style recipe for apple and blackberry pie and is highly decorative yet fully functional.

The dish is also microwave and dishwasher safe and the printed recipe is sealed beneath the clear top glaze.

It is quite heavy, weighing approximately 820g empty and measures 24cm diameter and just under 4cm tall,
