This pretty little jug has a hexagonal shape and is trimmed around the rim and handle with a brown/bronze lustre glaze which catches the light and shimmers. This lustre glaze has been rustically applied and gives the item quite a farmhouse feel.
Both the front and back of the jug feature a pretty floral scene with spring coloured flowers and leaves in pink, blue and yellow, perfect for the Easter table. It is quite intricately shaped with a pronounced pouring lip and castellated base, giving it a quite interesting look.
The glaze features ironstone flecks which further adds to the interest. There are no markings on the base of the item, however it would appear to match a tea set, believed to originate from Korea. As a stand alone item it is a lovely little item in its own right and would be perfect for small portions of cream, milk or salad dressing.
The item measures approximately 7.5 cm tall and 9.5cm across the widest part including the handle and pouring lip. It holds approximately 160ml. Overall it is in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or damage.
