Very pretty vintage English china small, scalloped pedestal bowl in a pretty floral design with hand finished gold detail to the rim. This lovely piece is marked Sadler, England on the base and has the design number 0365 painted hand painted on the base.
This is a lovely useable size, perfect for holding a few sweets, sugar cubes, a piece of soap or any other smallish items, such as car keys or jewellery. It is dainty yet quite robust and well made and features a scalloped bowl on a pedestal base.
The rim of the bowl measures approximately 14.7cm across the widest part and it stands approximately 6.5cm tall.
The floral pattern is very intricate and delicate with beautifully formed tiny flowers and leaves and this appears to have been applied to the bowl as a transfer in shades of yellow, blue, violet, red and green. It has a very delicate English country garden vibe about it, complimented by the slight cream tint to the base glaze. On close inspection the transfer is very slightly off centre to the centre but as the clusters of flowers in the pattern are not a uniform size, it is not that noticeable.
Overall it is in very good condition with minimal signs of age or wear. There is very slight wear to gold rim.
