Vintage Delft hand finished ceramic tile

A lovely vintage Dutch Delft ceramic tile. This pretty tile measures 15cm by 15cm and 0.4cm thick. It shows a very pretty and traditional Dutch scene and has been hand finished with colour wash over a base transfer. It is in good vintage condition with slight signs of use and age. It is believed to date to the 1970's. The back of tile is marked with a manufacturer's stamp. At some time in the past the tile has been mounted in a decorative frame and there is some discolouration where the frame has been on the back of the tile. There is also some sticky residue on the top of the back of the tile where double sided tape has been used to attach it at some stage.

It would work well as a feature tile as part of a tiled area, or could be used as a pot stand or decorative wall art.
