Lovely vintage French Arcoroc Aspen style glass platter and jug

A pretty, French, vintage jug and matching platter in the lovely Aspen design by Arcoroc. Both items are made of moulded glass. The platter bears the maker's mark and 'France' discretely hidden in the design. The jug only has the word 'France' on the handle. This listing is for both the platter and the jug as a set of two items.

The platter has a wonderful shape. It is slightly bowl like with a wide flat base and gently curved sides and has been modelled on a leaf. It has a beautiful veined pattern that catches the light and sparkles. The majority of the moulding is on the reverse of the platter and so the front serving surface is smooth. The rim edges of the platter are also shaped to look like the edges of a leaf.

The platter measures approximately 24cm in diameter from the tip of the leaf to the end of the stem, so this is a similar size to an average dinner plate and a perfect size for serving cakes, sandwiches or canapés. It measures approximately 2.5cm tall.

The jug has a hooked shape handle and a shaped pouring lip that narrows and creates a good even pouring stream and also helps to hold back bits of fruit, garnishes or ice cubes etc when pouring.

The jug has a capacity of approximately 1400ml and stands approximately 22.6cm tall and is 17.5cm wide including the spout and handle.

Both items are in good, used, vintage condition. There are signs of minor surface use on both items such as a few small superficial use related scratches, but no damage, cracks or chips.
