A lovely set of 3 vintage glass items believed to date to around the 1970's, featuring a small jug, small dish and larger serving dish. Perfect for serving cream, sugar and strawberries, for example, or salad, olives and oil. The items didn't originally come as a set, but all work very well together.
The larger dish is most likely the older item of the trio and may date back to the early mid Century. This has a lovely look and feel to it and has been moulded into shape. The pattern is on the outside, leaving the inside with just a gentle ripple. There are lots of air bubble inclusions in the glass and it weighs in at a hefty 730g. This bowl shows some signs of previous use with a few minor scuffs and cutlery marks to the glass. It measures 20cm diameter across the top and stands 7cm tall. It holds approximately 1 Litre, so its a handy size for everyday use as a fruit or salad bowl.
The smaller bowl measures approximately 12cm diameter and stands 5.2cm tall. It holds approximately 350ml and again has been made of pressed glass. This looks more modern and does not have air inclusions. There are a few little scuffs in the glass from previous use.
The small jug has again been moulded to shape and also has the measurement of its capacity moulding into the rim. It holds approximately 250ml and has a sunburst pattern on the base and a gentle twist design on the body. It is in good condition with some signs of previous use.
