Fabulous vintage marigold carnival glass 2.2 pint bowl

Vintage pressed and moulded marigold carnival glass bowl. Fabulous condition and spectacular lustre and shine. A very pretty and ornate piece with a lovely shape. This beautiful bowl measures approximately 21.5cm across the widest point and 8.5cm tall. It holds approximately 1.3 Litres (2.2 pints) to the base of the scallops on the lip of the bowl. A gorgeous iridescence and lots of lovely deep mouldings that catch the light and shimmer. This particular type of glass was made by coating hot glass with mineral salts to create the characteristic shimmer and iridescence.

The bowl is unsigned, as many examples of the glass are but it is believed to made from the early mid 20th Century.
