Lovely vintage gold tone 1950's floral style brooch set with blue and white crystals

A lovely vintage 1950's costume jewellery gold tone brooch set with sparkling blue and colourless crystals. This pretty brooch is believed to date to the mid 20th Century and has been hand made using intertwining wires with individual clawed mounts for the stones. It does not have any maker's marks or hallmarks.

The design features a central spray of graduating in size white crystals flanked either side with a pretty blue crystal flower head. The base of the brooch is set with teardrop shaped stones and a central high set small stone.

The stones are believed to be facet cut crystal and are displayed in clawed open and closed back settings. The backs of the crystals have been silvered to give greater sparkle.

All of the stones and claws are intact and generally the brooch is in excellent vintage condition. On one of the wires at the bottom of the brooch some of the gilding has discoloured leaving a small section of a very slightly different colour metal and this can be seen in the photographs. This is only noticeable on close inspection.

The brooch measures approximately 5.9cm long, 4cm wide and 1.cm deep. It closes with a simple loop hook on the back.
