Beautiful and ornate, boxed set of 6 vintage, green Turkish liqueur or shot glasses and saucers

A beautiful boxed set of 6 vintage green glass and gold coloured gilded metal shot or liqueur glasses with saucers. A very elegant, special and opulent way to serve your guests after a meal or as an aperitif or digestive. Each glass holds approximately 50ml.

These lovely glasses are believed to be Turkish although this is not known for sure. On the base of each glass is a paper sticker marked Foreign.

They are thought to date from the 1970's, although again this is not known for sure. The glasses are presented in a mock croc style green paper covered light weight wooded box and lined with a silky material. They are still wrapped in the original wrapping and appear to have never been used.

The glasses are sturdy and thick and fit snuggly into the decorative metal holder. These can be removed for washing.

The glasses inside their holder measure approximately 2.1 inches (5.5cm) tall and 4.5cm across the top diameter.

They are quite weighty and substantial. The box is closed with a small metal fastener.

Condition wise they look like they have never been used. There are a few things to note though. A couple of the cup holders have small flakes of gilding missing and this can be seen when examined very closely. There are a few rubs on the corners and edges of the box commensurate with age and storage.
