Unusual vintage mid century vitreous glazed English Ironstone hotel ware trinket or soap dish by Dunn Bennett & Co Ltd of Burslem, England

An unusual monogrammed vintage hotel ware vitrified English Ironstone trinket or soap dish. This lovely item is monogrammed with the letters GH and a crown. It was most likely made for a hotel, maybe the Grosvenor or George, the origin is unknown, but it would make a nice vintage addition to the home, or a nice personalised gift for someone with the initials GH. It has a lovely aged look to it.

Perfect for elegantly holding a wide range of items such as cotton wool balls, fresh berries or sweets, trinkets, soap, coins or keys. It would make a nice vintage gift filled with soap or chocolate.

The dish measures approximately 13cm diameter and stands 2.7cm high.
The dish is stamped on the base with the manufacturer's mark and is believed to have been made in Burslem, England between 1955 and 1980 when this mark was in use.

Condition wise the dish is in used, vintage condition. There are small scratches in places in the glaze and there are a few areas where the vitreous glaze was either very thin or has worn and the cream coloured Ironstone base can be seen through. This all adds to the wonderful aged look of the piece.
