Beautiful vintage 1950's Schramberg style jug. This lovely item has the design number 4332 embossed in the base and is ink stamped 'Foreign' '19'. It does not carry the manufacturer's mark.

It is a lovely and very substantial piece that would look great as a statement decorative piece but would hold a good sized serving of wine at the table or could be used for oilive oil or other liquids. It has a capacity of approximately 620ml.

This stunning piece is made from a thick white clay and has been glazed in a blue glaze on the exterior. This has been etched with the pattern before the glaze was dry to reveal the white clay beneath, a process known as sgraffito. It has then been glazed with a thick clear high gloss glaze throughout to leave a lovely smooth clear finish.

This is a hand decorated piece and as such does have a few tiny glaze manufacturing smudges.

It measures approximately 20.5cm in diameter across the widest point including the spout and handle and measures 29.5cm high.

This is a vintage, used item. There are a few signs of wear in terms of some minor superficial scratches to the glaze from use over the years and also some discolouration in the unglazed foot ring. There is one small glaze chip on the rim. This can be seen in the photographs.

This listing is for the jug only. All other items in the photographs are for display or size comparison purposes only and are not included.

Please look at all of the photographs and the video as these form part of the description and help to show scale, colour and condition.
