A vintage hand painted and sculpted, glazed terracotta shallow dish or platter, complete with hanging holes ready for use as wall art or wall decoration if preferred. (Please note that wires are not included). This beautiful piece is richly coloured and depicts a tall basket of fruit. The composition has been scratched into the wet terracotta by the artist and then infilled with rich colour glaze. Perfect for use as a decorative fruit bowl/platter or for use as a wall hung piece of ceramic art. The piece is unsigned and the origin and age is not known, however it is in a 1970's Mediterranean style. Overall it is in very good vintage condition, however there is widespread superficial crazing in the glaze and there is a small firing fissure beneath the glaze near the rim, as shown on the final photo. This is not damage and will have occurred during the hand making of this piece of pottery.

The platter is quite heavy and weighs approximately 1.35Kg. It measures approximately 32cm in diameter and stands approximately 3.5cm tall.
