Vintage, quirky and charming mustard or sauce dish, most likely by Sylvac, featuring a china lidded log shaped pot with a seated pixie / elf

A charming, vintage, mid-Century lidded mustard pot designed to look like a Pixie or Elf sat on a log. This lovely and rather quirky little piece has been glazed in a high shine brown and was most likely made by Sylvac, although it does not show a maker's mark. Seated on the log is a little hand painted fantastical magical person, maybe an Elf or Pixie. A lovely little item. The lid has a little notch to enable a spoon to be rested in the pot without taking the lid off. (spoon not included)

It holds approximately 110ml and would be a pretty and fun way to serve sugar, jam, mustard etc..

It measures approximately 9.5cm long, 6.5cm at the widest point and is 9cm high.

It is in very good condition with no damage, although the paintwork on the Elf/Pixie is worn in places.
