Lovely vintage Empress English Ironstone squat vase or small pot holder - Staffordshire - early to mid 20th Century - Victorian style

A lovely, elegant, vintage, English 'Empress Ironstone' squat vase or small plant pot holder. This lovely piece is beautifully shaped and has been decorated with a repeating pattern of old English roses around the centre. The foot and rim have been painted with a deep green glaze. Perfect to use as a decorative item, but also functional as a squat vase or to hold an indoor plant pot, such as supermarket herbs on a kitchen window sill etc..

It would make a lovely and unusual vintage gift.

It measures approximately 16cm in diameter across the widest part and 14.4cm high. The opening across the top measures approximately 9.5cm diameter.
