A lovely and elegant little vintage Art Deco style inspired small teapot, made in Poland by Lubiana Porcelain. The green maker's stamp on the base of the teapot suggests that it was made between 1969 and 1992, although it is likely this style dates from the 1970's-80's.
It is a lovely size for a single cup of tea and a perfect size to use on a breakfast tray or for afternoon tea.
The lid has a small lug to help keep it on during pouring and sits recessed within the sloping top. It is made of a white china and has been glazed in a high gloss white glaze. The body of the teapot is decorated in a fresh looking floral design on the front and back and it is finished with a lovely accent of gold coloured gilding on the handle, lid and rim.
There are strainer holes between the spout and the body and the spout.
The teapot measures approximately 15cm tall, 13.5cm wide and 24.5cm long.
It has a capacity of approximately 370ml and is in beautiful condition with hardly any signs of use or wear.
I test all of my teapots for pour quality and this one pours very well and cleanly. However, it does have a small spout/strainer holes and needs to be tipped up and poured slowly or the tea will try and escape through the lid instead.
This listing is for the teapot only and all other items seen in the photographs are not included. Please look at all of the photographs and the video as these form part of the description and help to show scale, colour and condition.
