A very elegant and delicate vintage coffee pot by Haas & Czkek of Schlargenwald, Czecholslovakia in very good condition.
This lovely pot has a beautiful design with elegant moulded fluting patterns in the clay base overlaid by a white glaze and pretty floral decoration with hand painted gilding.
The style of maker's mark suggests that this beautiful pot was made in the 1920's or 30's.
It has a tall elegant design and has holds approximately 1350ml.
The pot has a scalloped pedestal base that narrows and then bulges back out and then tapers away again to the neck. The rim has a subtle scalloping on the edges. It has a lovely elegant long spout. The lid is domed and has a lovely hollow finial on the top. There is a little lug on the lid to help prevent it falling off during use.
The handle, rim, lid, finial and spout have all been hand gilded with a gold colour and the lid and body of the pot are decorated with blue and grey roses.
This was designed for coffee but could also be used for tea.
There are no strainer holes between the body and spout.
Overall the condition is very good and the gilding is generally fully intact.
I always check my teapots for pour quality and this one pours very cleanly.
This beautiful pot stands approximately 22cm tall, 20.5cm long and 13cm wide.
