Eternal Beau vintage small side plates (6.5 inches) by Johnson Bros, England - listing price per plate

These lovely plates are in the ever popular and highly collectable Johnson Brothers pattern 'Eternal Beau'. This pretty pattern was in production between 1983 and 2013 and is now discontinued. This listing is for the smaller sized side plate and each measures approximately 15.6cm diameter across the flat sides and approximately 6.5 inches across the longer diameter. The second photograph shows this smaller side plate in comparison to the larger 8 inch side plate. The larger side plates and dinner plates are available on a separate listing.

It features a high gloss white glazed earthenware base with a dark green rim and a pretty bow and floral design. The range is based on an octagonal shape and the plates have a pretty moulded beaded effect around the inner rim edge. The pattern has been applied beneath the top glaze making the pieces durable and preventing pattern fade over the years.

The range is microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. The plates are all sold as used, however they are in very good used condition with minimal signs of use and no damage. Most of the plates have little production dimples on the back from the time of firing as can be seen in the photos. There is currently also one plate available with a very tiny glaze chip on the underside of the rim (as seen in the final photograph) at a reduced price.

The manufacturer's back stamp design often varies from different production runs of Eternal Beau and there is a difference in the shape of the back of the plate in some production runs but no other noticeable difference on the face of the plate. All of the currently available small side plates have the same backstamp and all have the octagonal plate foot on the reverse. The drop down menu will allow you to select from the available stock.
