Beautiful vintage Tangshan Chinese white and gold tea set - 5 cups, 6 saucers, milk jug and sugar bowl

A very pretty and elegant set of mid to late 20th Century fine china tea cups and saucers, with milk jug and sugar bowl. The set consists of 5 cups, 6 saucers, a milk jug and sugar bowl. (There is a 6th cup but this has been repaired at some stage in the past where the handle has been broken. It is a neat repair but I cannot vouch for how robust the handle would be and so it is not included in this sale, however I'm happy to add it in with the set free of charge if wanted).

The pretty floral pattern is in a mirror finish gold colour and the pattern appears once on the front of each item, with the back remaining plain white. The rims and handle backs of the items have a hand applied gold gilded finish and there is a finer golden ring around the foot of the cups, jug and sugar bowl. The china is fine enough in the cups to see light through when held up to the light.

The cups each hold approximately 200ml, as does the jug and sugar bowl.

The saucers measure approximately 14.5cm diameter, the cups are 6.6cm tall. The jug stands 10cm tall and the sugar bowl is 9cm diameter and 5.5cm tall.

Condition wise all items are in very good vintage condition. The gold is generally in excellent condition, although there are one or two places where it appears slightly worn. The maker's mark appears on the base of each item. This listing is for the set of 5 cups, 6 saucers, milk jug and sugar bowl only.
