Vintage Eternal Beau lidded soup tureen / vegetable dish by Johnson Bros, England - listing price per tureen - holds 1.3L each

This lovely tureen is in the ever popular and highly collectable Johnson Brothers's pattern 'Eternal Beau'. This pretty pattern was in production between 1983 and 2013 and is now discontinued. At the time of listing there are two available. Both in very good, unused looking condition, however, the lid does not seat quite correctly on one tureen and this is offered at a reduced price. This is not noticeable from looking at the dish, however it can be felt when it lifted and I've tried to show it in the video.

The design features a high gloss white glazed earthenware base with a dark green rim and a pretty bow and floral design. The range is based on an octagonal shape and the bases have a pretty exaggerated pumpkin type shape with angular handles and a small pedestal foot. The lid is domed with a tall finial handle. The bases have a pretty moulded beaded effect around the centre rim edge. The pattern has been applied beneath the top glaze making the pieces durable and preventing pattern fade over the years.

The range is microwave and dishwasher safe, although this is not stamped on these items. Both tureens are sold as used, however they are in very good and seemingly unused condition with no damage. Perfect for stylish food serving at the table and also useful for vegetables and stews etc.. The lids can be turned upside down for ease of storage to take up less space.

Each tureen holds approximately 1300ml and measures approximately 26cm long across the widest part of the handles, 18.5cm wide and 11cm tall with the lid upside down for storage / 16cm tall with the lid in place.
