Vintage framed, ceramic hand glazed tile, Italian, Marazzi, 1970's

This lovely vintage tile is believed to be by Marazzi and was made in the 1970's in Italy. It has been framed with a rustic wooden frame for hanging as wall art. It is beautifully glazed and quite heavy. The framed item weighs approximately 1.3Kg. The visible tile measures 29cm by 18.7cm. The frame measures 22.5cm wide, 32.5cm long and 2cm deep.

Overall the tile is in nice vintage condition with no significant damage on the visible part of the tile, although there is some widespread light crazing of the glaze and a few dark spots on in the glaze. The wooden frame shows some discolouration due to age and also some discolouration around the metal nails used to pin the back onto the surround. It comes with 2 original hanging points and has been restrung with modern picture wire ready to hang on a wall.
