Vintage, handblown, tall, cherry square red and colourless heavy and thick glass vase with pulled ripple effect and bubbles

A gorgeous and striking red hand blown tall vase. This has been hand made and has a ground out pontil mark on the base from the glass maker's wand. The glass is thick and has been made using bubble inclusions and two layers of glass, red and clear. This has not been painted like cheaper modern examples. The 4 faces of the vase have a lovely pulled ripple effect where the molten glass has been pulled and has flowed during manufacture.
The rim is thick and rounded and does not have the ripple or bubble effect.

The vase is in excellent condition with minimal signs of use. The manufacturer is not known. it stands approximately 34cm tall and 14.5cm wide at the top where the slightly flared mouth has been pulled wider during shaping. The vase is stood next to a standard size wine bottle - sorry the wine is not included.
