Troop of 6 vintage adorable hand painted porcelain baby elephant figurines by Lenox

An extremely charming troop of 6 vintage LENOX porcelain baby elephants.

This set of adorable baby elephants has been painted to the highest standard, with intricate details that bring the baby elephants to life

Each figurine is slightly different and has its own unique character and personality and has been captured to show an activity or expression of emption. These are marked on the belly of the elephant and represent 'Carrying', 'Showering', 'Discovering', 'Trumpeting', 'Experimenting' and 'Eating'. These lovely little figurings are delightful and are made of an unglazed painted Bisque Porcelain. Their eyes have been painted using a gloss colour and this gives a real illusion of bright sparkling eyes against the matte and satin paints used on the bodies.

These figurines are stamped with the maker's mark and date 'Lenox 1993'. The tallest measures approximately 9.7cm tall.

4 are in absolutely pristine condition and some still have the original paper/foil 'hand painted in Malaysia' sticker on them.

Unfortunately 2 sustained minor damage in postal transit to me. 'Discovering', the elephant holding the little yellow flower above her head, had had the flower detached and this has been invisibly glued back on and you would never tell, but I feel it needs mentioning. 'Showering', the elephant where she is sat with her ears out and trunk raised suffered a broken ear. This has been repaired but I have left it unpainted so that it is totally visible and transparent to buyers. The join is almost invisible on the back of the ear but can be seen due to paint loss on the front. Future keepers could easily of hide this with a little grey colouration, or if requested at the time of purchase I can do this for you before I sent it out.

While most definitely not a toy, these figurines would look lovely as decorations in a nursery and should be displayed someplace where they can be admired.
