Magnificent, hand painted, vintage Portuguese Vista Alegre demitass china cup and saucer

A magnificent demitasse and saucer by Vista Alegre of Portugal, hand painted in gold with a pretty and simplistic rose bud and leaf design in pink and green. Vista Alegre is one of the oldest china producers in Portugal and renown for their fine quality.

The cup and saucer have a lovely shape and would be perfect for an espresso or lungo. The base china has a swirl pattern and is glazed in a full gloss white glaze. The china has been hand painted with a gold rim and inner ring on the saucer and the same again on the inside and outside of top of cup. The cup holds approx 80ml and is approximately 5.8cm tall and 7.6cm wide including the handle. The diameter of the open mouth of the cup is 5.8cm. The saucer measures approximately 11.4cm in diameter.

This lovely set would make an elegant gift for a coffee lover and is also a decorative and collectable vintage piece. It is in excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of age or wear.
