An unusual tube vase or utensil jar that probably originally started out as a memento of a river trip on the MPS Filia-Rheni. This is a substantial piece of pottery that has been glazed in a white glaze and printed and overpainted by hand in a typical Delft style. The base of the item is marked as DelftBlauw, Handwerk Holland. It would look great as a standalone ornament but could also be used as a brush jar or utensils jar, or a tall tube vase. It is a lovely piece in used, but very good vintage condition. It does show signs of age and use, but no damage or chips. It has got superficial glaze crazing in the top glaze that adds to the aged look of the piece.
It has been glazed in a gloss sheen glaze.
This lovely jar stands approximately 25.4cm tall and 10.4cm wide at the widest part. The interior diameter of the tube is approximately 7.5cm.
