Pretty pair of handmade vintage needle point pictures - vintage hand made frames and mounts

A lovely pair of vintage hand made needlepoint pictures. These are thought to date to the mid 20th Century and have been home mounted and put into hand made frames. The effect is quite a cottage style rustic finish.

The pictures are open fronted and not glass covered, and as would be expected there are some age spot type discolourations in the material. No attempt has been made to clean these. The frames are a little roughly made and some of the nails are loose. The wood shows signs of age and use, such as scratches and dents.

They are beautifully made and someone many years ago spent a lot of time lovingly creating these by hand and have then made their own frames and mounts. The frames are made from solid wood, most likely pine, and have been finished on the back with hardboard. The mounts have been home made and are rather irregular but quite charming in their rustic nature. They'd look lovely in an old cottage style environment and are completely unique.

The frames measure approximately 29cm long, 22.5cm wide and 2.5cm deep. They retain their original mountings as seen in the photographs.
