F. Winkle and Co. Wheildon Ware antique china sugar bowl in their lovely Pheasant design. The back stamp mark on this bowl was used between 1890 and 1910 making this beautiful piece over 100 years old.
This lovely item would also look pretty on a window sill with a small pot plant / some supermarket fresh herbs or could be used as a short squat posy vase.
lt is very lovely and in very good condition with no chips or crazing. The decoration is hand painted within a printed black transfer shape and the top rim and foot rim are highlighted in gold enamel.
The pot measures approximately cm across the widest part and is approximately cm high. It has a capacity of approximately 550ml up to the narrowest part of the neck.
It is in lovely vintage condition with no damage. It does have a few tiny pin prick manufacturing bubbles in the glaze, as was often the case in items of this age, and inside there are a few little blobs of clay that have been left from manufacture and glazed over.
