A heavily crazed ceramic hand painted egg cup made by Carlton, England.
Please note that this little item, although not cracked or damaged, has heavy age related crazing in the glaze and this has discoloured at the clay glaze boundary. Actually I think it looks better than the non crazed versions, and makes an already crazy item look even quirkier! The egg used in the photographs is a standard supermarket large hen's egg. The egg cup stands approximately 6cm tall and the feet stand 7cm wide. Stamped with the maker's mark on the feet. hand painted shoes and pattern on the tights.
