Wonderful and so very pretty pair of goblet style bone china candlestick holders in the distinctive Haddon Hall pattern by Minton, Staffordshire. This pattern was designed by John Wadsworth and echoed the pattern of the wall tapestry behind the Haddon Hall banquet table. The edges are lightly scalloped with gold coloured trim on the rim and pedestal edge.
This pattern was first introduced in around 1938 and was discontinued before restarting again in the 1940's. The back stamp on these candlestick holders suggest that they were made post 1950.
The candle is inserted into the centre of the bowl can be pushed into the pedestal for security.
Each candleholder stands approximately 8cm tall and is 7cm wide at the top.
Overall these are in very good vintage condition with no damage. There is some very minor wear in the gold rim.
This listing is for the pair of candlestick holders only. All other items in the photographs are for display or size comparison purposes only and are not included.
